Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Cupertino Daily, the iOS app and this website. They are written to be readable. By using either, you agree to them.
The app, briefly
Cupertino Daily is an independent, free iOS app that fetches and displays articles from Apple's public Newsroom feed. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Apple Inc. We pull from a public feed in the same way a web browser would.
Apple's content belongs to Apple
The articles, images, video, and other content displayed in the app are published by Apple and remain the property of Apple Inc. and its licensors. Cupertino Daily does not claim any rights over Apple's content. We display it; we do not own it. You may not redistribute Apple's content from the app in ways that would violate Apple's own terms.
Your content
The bookmarks you save and the preferences you set inside the app belong to you. They never leave your device. See our Privacy Policy for the longer story.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Use the app to attack, scrape, or overload Apple's servers, or any other third-party service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app outside of what applicable law expressly permits.
- Use the app to misrepresent yourself as Apple or as Cupertino Daily.
Provided as is
Cupertino Daily is provided to you free of charge, "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the feed will always be available, that articles will always render perfectly, or that the app will be free of bugs. Apple may change its feed format or pages at any time, which can break parts of the app. We will try to keep up.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the makers of Cupertino Daily are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of the app or this website. Because the app is free and collects no data, the practical exposure here is small — but the lawyers want this paragraph anyway.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and bump the date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new version.
Trademarks
"Apple," the Apple logo, "iPhone," "iOS," "App Store," "Apple Newsroom," "Apple Stories," "Liquid Glass," "Swift," "SwiftUI," and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. They are used here in a descriptive, nominative sense only.
